Robots that mop and vacuum offer the convenience of removing dry debris (dust dirt, grit) and wet mess (spills and staining) in one session without the need to switch out devices. They can also help save storage space compared to having two separate units, particularly in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot should be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacles avoidance. Look for models with docks that let them automatically empty their bins, fill their water tanks, and wash the mopping pads.

The S1 Pro is a powerful small machine that can cleans up a mess and vacuums well too. Its mops spin at high speeds and apply 2.2 pounds (1kg) of force, which makes short work of pet hair, dirt and dried sticky spills. The vacuum comes with four power modes, a variety of brushes and attachments, and a user-friendly app that lets you pick the kind of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.
For instance, you could choose to have the robot do a deep clean in the living and kitchen but be careful with the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It is able to detect small obstacles that other models cannot. Its only minor issue is that it can crash into walls and objects at full speed - but an instant glance at the cleaning history in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing and where it's headed and the obstacles it's run into or avoided.
A convenient LCD screen on the docking station tells you when maintenance tasks are required, such as emptying the debris tray, and cleaning the dirty water tank. It is also able to mix detergent into the water tank in a controlled manner, using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop have plenty of run-time, with the mop capable of running for 184 minutes in Quiet mode, while the vacuum is can last for 136 minutes in standard mode before having to recharge or return to the base to refill. The app is simple to use and intuitive and lets you look at every aspect of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the latest version of Roborock's top-of-the-line robot vacuum and mop is the most recent version. In contrast to the model of last year this one has a double agitator in its mopping pad which greatly improves carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction capacity that enables it to pick up smaller hairs and other particles other robotic cleaners may miss.
The Roborock model, like the other two I tested it has infrared and a reactive 3D obstacle avoidance technology to help it avoid obstacles such as furniture, walls, and other obstacles. The S8 Pro Ultra goes one step further and includes dual cameras that can detect objects, determining whether they're walls or other surfaces. It can then automatically change its direction and clean them without missing a beat.
It's the most expensive model I've tested however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek angular design is striking, and it only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which resumes the cleaning mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles up as a child-lock and a home button to bring the robot to its dock. Lifting the hinged lid reveals 350ml of dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank self-empties, and the bin is auto-refilling.
The only negative I found with this model is that the VibraRise mop pad mount is not removable. While you can swap out the mopping cloth (if it's required), it's a pain to remove the mount to wash manually. I've noticed that any plush carpet the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro-like fastener system on the mount, which could cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a variety of smart features which include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can set up and manage these via the Roborock app, which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app allows you to schedule cleanings and monitor the battery's lifespan. However, you'll need to jump through a few hurdles to enable voice control with this model which is unfortunate considering how well it performs otherwise.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 is an industry-leading robot vacuum and mop that has outstanding suction power, advanced mowing capabilities, and ingenuity features. Its clever design permits customized and efficient cleaning while saving you time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is among the most powerful options available. This powerful vacuum removes dry mess, including pet hair and dust. It has a mop of high quality that cleans hard floors without the use of pads. The app is user-friendly and simple to use and the X40's intelligent features are easy to set up. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. It can also be adjusted to adjust suction power, change modes, look at floor plans and maps and manage mopping settings. The X40 can also monitor its progress and inform you when it's finished.
The X40 is easy to maintain and has many convenient features which make it a good option for busy families. The docking station will automatically empty the dustbin and wash the mop pads, then refill them with fresh cleaning solution and water. It can also tell when the mop pad is overflowing and notify you when it overflows, reducing the need for manual maintenance.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra is a high-end robot that's one of the most expensive models available however, it comes with a lot of additional features that distinguish it from. Smart DuoScrub, a new feature in its mops, uses two mop heads that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a maximum suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also clean pet hair, dirt particles, and clean up spills and dirty spots.
The mop is also cleaned and dried inside the base station after every use. This is a great feature because it prevents the growth of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and it also makes mop systems more efficient. This is a feature that we haven't seen before on other robot mop or vacuum models. It could be a great way to keep your home cleaner longer.
There are a lot of choices, including the possibility to schedule cleanings and change preferences. These can be set via the app or there are buttons on the device itself.
